Requirements for accessing the Paragliding PATENT course

Access to the Flylibell Paragliding course requires:

Be 16 years of age or older (with parental permission if a minor)

Be in possession of a medical certificate for VDS/VL noncompetitive sports activity (issued by a sports or aerospace physician)

Obtain clearance from the police headquarters of residence for recreational or sport flying

Course structure for the Paragliding PATENT

The course is designed for small groups of up to 6 students to ensure a personalized experience followed step by step.

Paragliding School Camp

You start on a gently sloping meadow, where you learn to:

Prepare the sail and lanyards

Check the equipment

Performing initial takeoff techniques safely

During this step, you will also make 2 or 3 tandem instructional flights with the instructor to observe the behavior of the wing in flight and become familiar with the three-dimensional environment of the air.

First High Flights in Paragliding

After about 6-7 lessons, you will be ready to tackle your first solo high flights. You will always be assisted by radio by two instructors: one at takeoff and one at landing.

Initially you will carry out exactly the instructions you receive, replicating the movements learned in tandem flight. Time after time, acquisirai autonomia, manualità e sicurezza.

Autonomous progression

As you gain control, you will begin to manage the flight phases yourself, until you become completely autonomous.

Classes are held on a flexible basis: weekends, holidays or weekdays, depending on the student's availability.

Theoretical program

During the Paragliding Patent course you will conduct 23 hours of theory, with lessons on:

Principles of flight and aerodynamics

Meteorology applied to Paragliding

Materials and equipment maintenance

Aviation regulations and safety

Examination and Certificate

The examination for the VDS/VL certificate consists of:

Theoretical written test

Practical flight test in front of the AeCI committee

To be admitted you must have completed 23 hours of theory and made at least 30 solo flights.
