SIV Paragliding Course

Flylibell paragliding school Paragling Tandem Lake Como organizes Flight Inconvenience Simulation Courses, the course par excellence in giving serenity and composure to all pilots who may find themselves in unfavorable conditions during the flight. It is not an acrobatics course but simply a course that offers you to know your limits and those of your paraglider. Divided into 3 levels, the SIV paragliding course allows all pilots to participate.
The course is developed according to the characteristics of each individual student.
SIV I COURSE (Basic)
Minimum requirements: paragliding flight license
Maneuvers and planned configurations
Rapid descent techniques - ears with accelerator - large ears with accelerator - spiral wave with controlled exit
Pilot Sensitivity - Pendulum Pitch (Mild) - Axis Roll Reversals - Low Speed Pilot
Unusual attitudes - asymmetric not held and controlled (not accelerated) - asymmetric not held and not controlled (not accelerated) - asymmetrical held and controlled (not accelerated) - front closing (hint) (not accelerated)
Rescue parachute launch (highly recommended)
SIV II COURSE (intermediate)
Minimum requirements: paragliding flight license obtained for at least 1 year and / or 50 flights after the license
All the maneuvers of the SIV I plus:
Rapid descent techniques - B-stall - controlled spiral
Pilot sensitivity - pendulum pitch (wide) - wing over (up to 90 °) - approach to symmetrical stall - approach to asymmetrical stall
Unusual attitudes - asymmetric not held and controlled (partially accelerated) - asymmetric not held and not controlled (partially accelerated) - asymmetric held and controlled (partially accelerated) - front closing (partially accelerated)
Rescue parachute launch (highly recommended)
SIV III COURSE (Advanced)
Minimum requirements: paragliding flight license obtained at least 2 years ago and 100 flights after the license. (during the first flight the real abilities of the pilot will be assessed; it will then be up to the instructors to decide whether to continue with the advanced SIV course; alternatively the basic SIV course will be carried out)
Expected maneuvers and configurations SIV III (advanced) T
all the maneuvers of the SIV II plus:
Rapid descent techniques - controlled pulled spiral
Pilot sensitivity - wing overs pulled (over 90 °) - symmetrical stall signal - asymmetrical stall signal
Unusual attitudes - asymmetric not held and controlled (accelerated) - asymmetric not held and not controlled (accelerated) - asymmetric held and controlled (accelerated) - asymmetric held and uncontrolled (not accelerated) - front closing (accelerated) - symmetrical restrained stall ( post stall) - asymmetrical stall held (negative flat screw)
Rescue parachute launch (highly recommended)
